Football West and WA Police's State Security Investigation Group (SSIG), will host the next bi-annual ‘Footy with the Fuzz’ Multicultural Friendship Games on Sunday, October 10th from 9am to 5pm.
The games will feature 32 men’s and women’s teams from diverse ethnic communities within Perth, as well as teams represented by members of WA Police.
The award-winning Multicultural Friendship Games aims to reach out to teenagers and young adults from differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds, while offering a fun day of cultural and sporting exchanges.
The program further aims to break down misconceptions about police and to build relationships with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
The games will feature a display of different cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds including multicultural music and cuisine in order to showcase our culturally diverse state.
Footy with the Fuzz will be held at Langley Park, Perth. Several hundred pay parking bays are available in the area, but players and spectators are encouraged to use public transport. For more details or to register a team, please call SSIG on 9370 7445 or 9370 7446.
