Man charged over multiple robbery offences

Regional Investigations Unit detectives yesterday charged a man over a number of robbery, attempted robbery and armed robbery offences that took place between 4 and 21 January 2011 across the metropolitan area.

It will be alleged the man entered a number of stores and banks and demanded cash from staff members. On some of these occasions it will be alleged the man was armed with a weapon.

As a result of ongoing investigations a 37 year old man from Cloverdale has been charged with four counts of armed robbery, two counts of attempted robbery and one count of robbery. He appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Monday 24 January 2011 and is being remanded in custody until 2 February 2011, where he will appear in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court.
