As part of the WA Police Tough on Graffiti approach to target graffiti vandals, ‘Operation Eraser’ is the second phase of a series of graffiti-focused operations across the metropolitan policing districts.

Following the success of phase one, resulting in 89 offenders being charged with 301 offences, WA Police will again target graffiti vandalism within all metropolitan districts focusing on public transport, public infrastructure and other identified graffiti hotspots.

Operation Eraser Commander, Detective Sergeant John Caporn from the West Metropolitan District Crime Team said: “Graffiti offending can be linked to other criminal activity such as anti social behaviour and in some cases more serious crimes including burglary.”
