Western Australia Police - Police car theftDetectives investigating the theft of a police vehicle on Tuesday 18 January 2011 from Yangebup are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have witnessed the theft or seen anything suspicious at about 6.30pm on Beeliar Drive Yangebup.

In particular, police are requesting the female driver of a white Holden Commodore sedan, possibly VY or VZ model, who stopped and picked up one of the police officers and followed the stolen police van until it stopped outside the Jandakot Primary School. It was here that the officer, who was in the stolen police vehicle with the offender, jumped out and joined the other officer in the woman’s car.

They again attempted to follow the stolen police vehicle until they lost sight of it in Atwell. Police are asking the driver of the Commodore or any person knowing the driver to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
