More than 30 WA Police employees and supporters have completed their marathon motorbike ride across Australia, raising more than $150,000 for Princess Margaret Hospital.

The funds will go towards purchasing a 3D molecular imaging machine that will help doctors in Princess Margaret Hospital’s oncology ward develop treatment programs tailored to young cancer patients’ specific illnesses. The technology is expected to significantly increase survivability rates for many childhood cancers.

More than 30 WA Police employees took part in the ride in their own time, with their own motorcycles. Each participant set out to raise $5000 in sponsorship.

To learn more about the Wall-to-Wall Ride for Remembrance contact WA Police Public Affairs Officer Lucia Forgione on (08) 9222 1316. Sponsorship for the ride is still being collected and donations can be made at any branch of the Police & Nurses Credit Society:

Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
