Traffic infringements go online

Drivers who receive Traffic Infringement Notices in the post can now easily view and pay their fines online via the WA Police website.

Online viewing of the notices will allow vehicle owners to see larger and better quality images from speed cameras, and provide a convenient alternative to attending in person at the East Perth traffic office.

Specialist Enforcement Acting Assistant Commissioner Michelle Fyfe APM said the move to online viewing is a positive step for both the motoring public and the WA Police.

“Vehicle owners are now provided the option to more easily identify the vehicle receiving the infringement via the larger images, and have the added convenience of paying online,” she said.

Each Traffic Infringement Notice is issued with a notice and customer reference number, which is used to access viewing and paying on the WA Police website. Only the first issue Traffic Infringement Notice (for individuals) and Notices Requesting Information (for companies) are viewable online.

Once they are paid, renominated to another driver or expired, they are removed from viewing. Final demand notices and on-the-spot infringements are not displayed online.

Images are able to be viewed via up to ten separate occasions.
