Yanchep Police Station opens in high-growth northern corridor

(L-R) Constable Kris Rae, Senior Constable Ben Weston, Constable Matt Deady and OIC Sergeant Peter Reeves outside their new station in Yanchep.Modern policing capability has reached one of the fastest growing areas in Australia with the opening of Yanchep Police Station.

The new facility, purpose built to replace the aging and no longer suitable Two Rocks Police Station, has been designed to accommodate the major population-growth forecast for the North-West Metropolitan District.

Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan APM and Minister for Police; Emergency Services; Road Safety the Hon. Rob Johnson MLA officially opened the station at a function with the new facility’s five officers and a number of local dignitaries.

“Police here can expect a steady increase in workload as the area develops around them,” Commissioner O’Callaghan said. “Fortunately, they’re here at the early stages and I can see the Yanchep police becoming an established fixture of this community as it grows.”
