Leaving Western Australia?
If you are moving overseas or interstate permanently, you are no longer eligible to hold a Western Australia licence issued in accordance with the Firearms Act 1974 (Firearm Licence, Collector's Licence, Ammunition Collector Licence, etc).
You will need to surrender your licence and lawfully dispose of your firearms/ammunition (if applicable) and advise Police Licensing Services of your change in circumstances.
If you hold a licence issued in another state of Australia, contact the relevant firearms registry of that state.
If you are moving overseas and wish to export your firearms, contact the Australian Customs Service on 1300 363 263. Refer www.customs.gov.au
