Homicide Squad Detectives have charged a 24-year-old Bedford man with five counts of murder over the deaths of five people who were located at a home on Coode Street, Bedford on Sunday 9 September, 2018.
The five people are all female, including 2-year-old twins, their 3-year-old sister, their 41-year-old mother and her 73-year-old mother.
WA Police Force Commissioner Chris Dawson said this terrible tragedy would have a devastating impact upon immediate family members, friends, and the wider community.
“Our condolences go to the family and friends of this family who must be suffering immeasurable grief and disbelief at events from the weekend,” Mr Dawson said.
“This is the third tragedy involving multiple deaths in a family home since May. Further, to date 23 people have died in family related homicides so far this year.”
