Body Worn Video on Police

The Western Australia Police partnered with Edith Cowan Research Centre to study how the community feels about body-worn video cameras, which have been trialed by WA Police. The trial involved officers wearing small video recorders on their uniforms, which are used to record interactions with the public.

The trial was conducted in Perth and Bunbury between June and December 2016. As part of the study, we invited members of the public to submit their views. It is important for WA Police to understand the community’s perception of new technology being used by the police.

Thank you to those who provided feedback on the trial, the survey is now closed.
