Body Worn Camera Live-streaming

Police officers in the Perth CBD and Northbridge are among the first to be equipped with an upgraded body worn camera that is capable of live-streaming vision to command centres and other staff.

The cameras are an upgraded version of the existing model being used by frontline officers, allowing for an easy transition from the older model to the new generation option.

The two key benefits of the new cameras are:

  1. Live-streaming capability: The capability to live-stream vision from the cameras to other police personnel will greatly improve situational awareness and officer safety.
  2. Upgraded camera: With improved low light recording, additional microphones for enhanced audio recording and improvements to GPS data recording and the LCD display, the new cameras will provide officers with an easier to use camera that will provide higher quality video product and data for evidence purposes.
