Commissioner Dawson addressing bushfires and COVID19

Important Bushfire and COVID-19 information: protecting your life is the first priority.

If you are in lock-down or in any form of isolation or quarantine for COVID-19, you must do whatever you need to do to protect your life.

This is particularly important in light of the current Wooroloo bushfire emergency.

Those in the affected area are permitted to go to suitable premises without putting others at risk. If they are unable to identify a suitable premises they should go to the evacuation centre wearing their PPE and clearly identify they are subject to quarantine prior to entering the evacuation centre.

They should maintain social distancing and PPE at all times. Department of Communities representatives are in attendance at the evacuation centres to provide support. For emergency information, contact 13 DFES (13 3337) or visit www.emergency.wa.gov.au.
