Cadets and Trainees joined internationl day of people with disability

Law Enforcement Torch Run WA will be joining with community partners to mark International Day of People with Disability.

This year the theme for International Day of People with Disability is ‘not all disability is visible’ and creates the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and inclusion for people with disability. Runners will be joined by Police Cadets, Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas, community partners and Special Olympic athletes on Thursday 3 December.

Police officers and staff are invited to join the event and will be provided with a t-shirt and commemorative pin. DC Col Blanch will light the Olympic Torch at 9.45am at Police headquarters and the torch run will travel along St. Georges Terrace to Council House.

Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas will welcome everyone and open the event. There will then be opportunities for community members and athletes to showcase their abilities.
