Mechelle Turvey victim engagement training

WA Police is pleased to announce we are working closely with Mechelle Turvey to implement new victim engagement training for police recruits and serving officers.
In October 2022, Ms Turvey tragically lost her son Cassius, following a violent attack which shocked the nation.
Her training session titled ‘TAKE 5’ provides a greater insight into the needs of victims of crime.
“When WA Police Force Commissioner Col Blanch asked if I would like to address my concerns as a victim of crime in the form of training new recruits, I said yes! I'm proud to have this opportunity in hope to improve engagement between police and community” said Ms Turvey.
