WA Police Pipe Band Jubilee Concert

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Western Australia Police Pipe Band, a ‘One Night Only’ Jubilee Concert will be held at Winthrop Hall, University of WA, on Friday 2 December 2016.

Along with some very ‘Special Guests’, the band will perform a wide range of traditional pipe band music, but mixed with their very own contemporary style of bagpipes, drums and other musical instruments in a way that you may never have heard or even seen before, and taking the audience through the band history from its inception to its current form.

Officer-in-Charge Pipe Band Sergeant Ian Stewart said: “Our band members, many of whom are either current or former world champion musicians, use the power of music to engage with the Perth community.”

The band recently performed at the world famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Melbourne, playing five sold-out shows in three days to almost 200,000 people and reaching a TV audience of 100 million people around the world.
