Telethon Bears Looking for Good Homes

Three teddy bears.

If you have ever wanted to give the Western Australia Police Force a big bear hug, this could be your lucky weekend as six police teddy bears will go under the hammer as part Channel 7 Perth’s Telethon auction to raise money for Telethon Kids Institute and Perth Children’s Hospital.

Telethon is taking place from 26 – 27 October 2019 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, on TV screens across the state and on the Telethon7 website.

If you cannot bear the thought of missing out, make sure to select your favourite bear (each teddy is pictured below) and start bidding in the online auction (items 42 – 47).

Stitched by Westcare-supported employees through Loop Upcycling, each bear has a unique outfit that signifies a different rank and was made from discarded WA Police Force clothing which would have otherwise been sent to landfill.

If you would prefer to ring the call centre to make a charitable donation, you may get to speak with a member of the WA Police Force because we will be on the phone lines talking to as many callers as paws-sible.
