The new Ballajura Police Station is now in full operation after the official opening on 9 January, 2017.

The $9 million facility will strengthen policing capabilities in a number of fast-growing areas across the northern suburbs of Perth.

Officer in Charge, Senior Sergeant Ian North, said his team is looking forward to getting to know the community better. “The local knowledge and experience these officers have will be extremely beneficial in policing Ballajura, Noranda, Malaga, Alexander Heights, Koondoola, Landsdale and Darch," he said.

The station was opened by Acting Premier and Minister for Police the Hon. Liza Harvey MLA and Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan.

“Ballajura will have a robust focus on volume crime and drug-related offences and these will be at the forefront of the station’s Local Policing Teams,” the Commissioner said. “I know they will do their best to make this community even safer.”

The new station means a reshape for policing teams in several of the suburbs that make up the North West Metropolitan District. The suburbs that have shifted to other police stations include Alexander Heights, Balcatta, Ballajura, Darch, Hamersley, Heathridge, Koondoola, Landsdale, Malaga, Noranda and Ocean Reef.
