The shows must go on
While attending a burglary involving pensioner Pauline Morris - which included her television being stolen - Mid West-Gascoyne DFIO Senior Constable Alan Ball became aware that this loss was going to be more than just an inconvenience.
“This lady was essentially housebound and was really going to miss not having a TV,” he said. “I have a spare television, so after completing the forensic examination I went and got it and told her she was welcome to borrow it for as long as needed.”
Thanks to some great work by the Geraldton Volume Crime Team who quickly located, arrested and charged the offender, the loan period ended up being just a couple of days.
The stolen television was returned to a very grateful Pauline who appreciated not only the fast work by police, but also the generosity of SC Ball.
