WA Police is proud to support The Fathering Project, inspiring men to be better role models. Our police officers are dads, step-dads, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, coaches, teachers and mentors so it is important that they are aware of how they can provide and better engage with ALL the kids in their life. Research shows children who have a father – or father figure – in their lives, enjoy better health and development, and display significantly fewer problem behaviours.
The Fathering Project is a UWA-based, not-for-profit initiative, led by a team of professionals. WA Polices encourages you to spread the word and whether you’re male or female, get the men in your life, whether they have children or not – to sign up to receive the weekly newsletters full of practical tips to help make a bigger difference in the lives of young people. After all the saying is true, it does take a community to raise a child.
