WA Police Budget 2015-16
Announced by Government on 14 May, the WA Police Budget for 2015/16 is almost $1.4 billion, an increase of $53 million, or 4.1% over the previous year.
The highlights for this year’s WA Police Budget include:
- Continuation of the Boost to Police Resources - Additional 550 Program with the recruitment of an additional 120 police officers and 51 auxiliary police officers
- $7.0 million towards implementing a better Statewide closed circuit TV network ($2.0m in 2015/16 and 2016/17 and a further $3.0m in capital in 2016/17)
- $16.8 million for essential maintenance at police stations ($3.2m in 2015/16)
