Man charged with historic child sexual abuse incidents

Cold Case Serious Crime Squad detectives have charged a 70-year-old man as a result of their investigation into alleged historic child sexual abuse incidents. The allegations stem from the Royal Commission into institutional responses to child sexual offences.

It is alleged between April and July 1975, the man who was a teacher at a college in South Perth, sexually assaulted a 15-year old male student.

The man from Safety Bay has been charged with four counts of Carnal Knowledge and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 4 January 2019.
