About 11.25pm, a 55-year-old man was located injured in his car, a silver Hyundai i30 hatchback, at the intersection of Cedric Street and Karrinyup Road in Stirling.
It is believed a short time prior, the man was standing near his car that was parked near the intersection of Fry and Cedric Streets when a group of men assaulted him. During the assault, the man was stabbed and some personal property was stolen by the group before they fled.
The victim managed to drive away to the above intersection where he called emergency services. He was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment.
Detectives wish to speak to the drivers of two vehicles, a 4WD travelling on Cedric and Amelia Streets about 10.30pm and a van travelling on Felton Street, as the drivers may have information which could assist with the investigation.
Detectives are urging anyone with dash-cam footage of the area around Cedric Street, Karrinyup Road, Amelia Street and Felton Street between 10.20pm and 11.20pm on the 30 May 2019 to come forward.
