Nambeelup bushfire

Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking the public’s assistance for information relating to a bushfire in Nambeelup that occurred around 8pm on Wednesday, 27 November 2019.

The fire was reported to authorities just after 8pm.  A Holden Commodore sedan parked on the verge of Yangedi Road was set alight with the fire spreading to nearby bushland.

Police are urging anyone living in the area who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the vicinity of the fire from around 7.30pm, or anyone who was driving in the area who has dash-cam vision of Yangedi Road between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, is urged to come forward.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
