Arrests after Port Kennedy search warrant

Yesterday morning, Wednesday 15 March 2023, Rockingham Detectives with the assistance of the Tactical Response Group, executed a Misuse of Drug and Firearm search warrant on a residence located on Montebourg Meander in Port Kennedy which resulted in two people being charged with 26 offences and four firearms being taken off the streets.

It will be alleged during the search police located and seized:
4 x Unlicensed Firearms (3 x .22 Rifles & .410 sawn off shotgun),
40 x .410 shotgun rounds,
35 x 12G shotgun rounds,
1 x .223 ammunition,
100 x .22 rounds,
5 x Gel Blasters,
1 x Extendable Baton,
1 x Laser Pointer,
20.65g Meth,
3g MDMA (10 pills),
5 grams Cannabis,
2 x LSD Tabs,
Approx. 15 Smoking Implements, and
A significant amount of brand-new Ryobi tools and jewellery.

A 33-year-old man from Port Kennedy is due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, 16 March 2023 on the charges of:
• 2 x Unlicensed Firearm,
• 2 x Possess Unlicensed Firearm (Aggravated – Cut down),
• 1 x Ready Access to Weapons and Drugs,
• 1 x Person in Possession of 3 or more Firearms,
• 2 x Possession of unlawfully obtained property (Aggravated – Stolen firearms),
• 4 x Possess Unlicensed Ammunition,
• 6 x Prohibited Weapons,
• 1 x Possess Methyl-amphetamine with Intent to Sell/Supply,
• 1 x Possess Prohibited Drug Cannabis,
• 1 x Possess Prohibited Drug LSD,
• 1 x Possess Prohibited Drug MDMA, and
• 1 x Fail to Comply and Provide Access to a Device.

A 31-year-old woman from Port Kennedy will appear in court at a later date on the offences of:
• 1 x Possess Unlicensed Firearm,
• 1 x Possess Cannabis, and
• 1 x Possess Prohibited Drug Implement.
