The Firearms Registry system has been replaced effective 29 April 2016. This system changeover will impact Firearm licence applications and renewal of licences to some extent.

New Applicants:

  • It is expected this system changeover will have an impact on the turnaround time of licence applications in the short term. Please bear this in mind and accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Existing Licence Holders:

  • Firearm Licence renewals issued after 29 April 2016 can be paid at an Australia Post Office, on line through BPoint or in person at Licensing Services, 303 Sevenoaks Street, CANNINGTON.
  • Payments outstanding for licence renewals issued before 29 April 2016 should be taken to DoT agents until 31 December 2016.
